The MH370 incident with the disappearance of the Boeing 777 almost without a trace really shook the world. Despite multilateral efforts of 27 countries, the search thus far has still yielded no answers. While various analyses on the incident are unfolding, most focus on the technical and security aspects. While these aspects are important, there are other areas that warrant our scrutiny. These include areas such as multilateral cooperation, media (un)coverage, uncharted laws, and socio-psychological dimensions. This forum intends to shed some light on the following questions:

• What have been the challenges faced by Malaysia and related states in forging multilateral cooperation of such a magnitude?
• How have the local and international media reported the tragedy, and what is the impact of the coverage?
• What kind of socio-psychological challenges have been faced by families of victims and how have they been addressed by counsellors and administrators?
• Are there tensions between national and international laws arising from the incident?

It is hoped that this forum will provide some understanding of the complex issues raised above. Another word, it is our way of saying that we care.

We look forward to your participation in this forum. Confirmation of your attendance is greatly appreciated.
